SEND National Crisis March

Whilst as a forum we do not lobby or campaign, we do listen to and share the concerns of parent carers who are still struggling to make their way through the SEND system. We have hear many times from parents and professionals that the system is poorly funded and capacity and resources are being outstripped by an ever increasing demand.We are sharing with people interested details of a national campaign being driven by parents to raise awareness of the need for better funding for SEND nationally.

10 Year Anniversary Celebrations

SEND Strategy Action Plan Workshops

Peterborough City Council and Cambridgeshire County Council are holding a series of public workshops to help develop the action plan that will be used to deliver on the aims of the County Wide SEND Strategy. The dates and times are as follows.

Forum Coordinator Blog

It has been a busy month for all of us at Family Voice Peterborough (FVP) which has only been possible through the hard work of the whole team. The culmination of the past month was our Festive Dinner and Participation Awards Evening which was attended by 100 guests; both professionals from across various sectors and parent carers.

Football In Peterborough To Become More Inclusive

  Inspire Peterborough, Huntingdonshire FA & ICA Sports Football Club are working in partnership to bring a range of Inclusive Football sessions to the city. These new sessions will start in March 2019 at Powerleague Peterborough and will include sessions for ages 6 years old and upwards.

Queensgate Shopping Centre 'Enabled Event' for carers, people with disabilities & sensory impairment - Friday 7th December

   Queensgate Shopping Centre in Peterborough delighted to announce the return of their annual Enabled Event again on December 7th 2017 from 4pm to 8pm.   Queensgate invite those with Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities, Sensory Impairments and Autism, etc to enjoy a quiet night Christmas Shopping at Queensgate.   Those with disabilities or sensory impairment receive a gift bag and can take light refreshments at key points around Queensgate.  Lighting is subdued with no loud music. Volunteers will be on hand from local organisations to assist with shopping, etc.     Queensgate are
