Peterborough City Council Consultation

Peterborough City Council is consulting on:

its revised Payment Strategy 2017 - 2021 which sets out the vision for how customers will make payments to the council in future, with an emphasis on more digital channels. This could include the council not providing a cash office in the future;

a change to the Parking Permits administration and payment by making the process entirely available online;   and

a change to the Taxi Licensing administration and payment by making the process entirely available online.

Community Connectors Day

The Community Connectors from Peterborough City Council are hostin a Family Fun Day Saturday September 9th 2017. The day Fun Day runs from 12pm to 6pm and there is much to do for everyone. There will be information stalls, Childrens Games, Face Painting, Music and much more.

Families First Fun Day

Families First are hosting a family fun day on Saturday 9th December. This will take place at The Charteris Centre (PE1 4XE) and on Woodfiled Park. The fun day runs from 11am to 3pm. For further information contact Keith Deri on 07840 241422

Charity Update

Family Voice Peterborough have now successfully transferred to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. This means a new charity number (1171389) and that the old charity has been closed. To view the final Trustees Annual Report and Annual Accounts from the closed charity click here

AGM 2017

Caravan Upgrade

We are pleased to announce some special news for 2017. After much work we have successfully managed to secure support to upgrade the caravan at Butlins Skegness.The new caravan is a six berth, Willerby Rio Premier Wheelchair Accessible caravan. The caravan is being built to our specifications and will be ready by the Easter Holiday 2017.The caravan will have ramped access, widened doorways, a wet room and other adaptions to make it fully accessible.

Network Dinner and Participation Awards 2016

We have had a very successful Network Dinner and Particpation Awards this year as we raised approximatelty £5000 to be shared with our chosen charities (Inspire Peterborough and Peterborough and District Deaf Childrens Society) and have over 200 guests at the event. We were pleased to be able to honour Claudia Dias, Adrian Chapman and Jo Rooney as our participation stars all of whom have work really hard to help parents participate and get involved.

Literacy News

Vivacity's "Our Story Project" is going to be launched in Peterborough around October and will be aimed at connecting young people and families with literacy and reading. This will happen while introducing people back in to libraries in their local communities.
