Vivacity's "Our Story Project" is going to be launched in Peterborough around October and will be aimed at connecting young people and families with literacy and reading. This will happen while introducing people back in to libraries in their local communities.
Peterborough's Local Offer is still undergoing work and new documentation is being added that parent carers may find useful. The latest documentation to be added are the Local Authorities Short Breaks Statement and Education Health and Care plan (EHC) guides.
A briefing letter is being shared with schools and GP's by Peterborough City Council which updates everyone on funding for CAMHs across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. A copy of the briefing letter can be found here
A letter has been sent to professionals who make referrals for assessments of ASD/ ADHD. The letter details when the waiting list should be open and what support will be available to those on the waiting list. The letter also details some of the work Family Voice Peterborough are conducting around the development of a team of trainers to deliver the Expert Parent Programme; Also the development of peer led support groups and joint parent representative and professional led workshops around managing behaviours that challenge and understanding ASD and ADHD.
A consultation is currently open looking at:"Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council are taking the implementation of the Care Act 2014 as an opportunity to re-commission a new integrated advocacy service for their areas.During the initial consultation period it has been agreed that Cambridgeshire and Peterborough will work together to take forward a joint commissioning approach.
