Big Conversation

Did you know you can get involved with the ‘Big Conversation’ with NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG)

For more information please visit their website:

Here at the NHS Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) we are responsible for buying NHS healthcare services for 980,000 people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We have recently launched our BIG conversation: 10 simple questions about how people in our local area would like to see services change in the future, which is why we are getting in touch with you today.

Funding for healthcare across the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area is under pressure, as demand on the NHS increases while resources are limited. We have a budget of £1.3 billion to deliver healthcare services to all 980,000 residents in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area. This means we have around £1,125 to spend per person each year. With just one night’s stay in a hospital costing the local NHS £1,722, the budgetary challenges the CCG faces are clear.

We need as many people as possible to take part in our BIG conversation, to help us make important decisions about healthcare provision in the future. It would be great if we could count on your help to spread the word about our BIG conversation far and wide. We would really appreciate it if you could share the links below with your network.

The BIG conversation survey can be filled in online and will only take a couple of minutes to complete. You can find the survey here. We are also organising 10 BIG conversation events in the area in the next few months – you can find all the details for these events on our Facebook page.

If you would like any hard copies of our BIG conversation document, would like us to come in and speak to your team or customers, film a special video, or if you’d simply like more information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
