Family Voice Peterborough COVID-19 Risk Assessment

Family Voice Peterborough are committed to ensuring that local parent carers have access to the support that they need to guide their families through the Covid-19 pandemic. We have been working in partnership with Peterborough City Council, and the Clinical Commissioning group, sharing your views and concerns and co-producing avenues of communication and change in these difficult times. In response to our first covid-19 survey, which was completed by an astounding 94 of you, PCC have set up several different helplines to enable parents to speak to professionals for specific advice and guidance. In addition, we have set up a food delivery service in partnership with local councillors, so that we can deliver free food parcels to parent carers who are unable to shop, due to either financial or practical concerns around leaving their homes with their children. This page is a one stop shop where you will find all relevant government guidance, local guidance and useful information and activities for families.

As a first port of call we recommend that all parent carers visit the Covid-19 page of Peterborough’s Local Offer, where you will find details of all helplines and support available. This can be found here:

Please do keep sharing your views with us, this can be done at any time via our your say form, which can be accessed here:

In addition we are running frequent specific surveys, which can be found below. Please do join our Facebook group – Family Voice SEND Participation, where you will be able to complete frequent polls which ask for one click answers on the support you are receiving and the support you may need.

Most of all, please stay safe. Our thoughts are with you all

Changing Situation with Covid-19

In light of the constantly changing situation with Covid-19 and the latest government announcement, particularly in relation to social distancing, and that we have to ensure the health and safety of our employees, volunteers, beneficiaries and members of the public who access our services we have taken the decision to temporarily close the Goldhay Community Centre and reschedule the Drayton Manor Trip and Afternoon Tea. Anyone affected by any rescheduling and/ or closures will be contacted by email with more information.

For guidance on social distancing please click on the link

During this rapidly changing situation we would like to reassure everyone that we are monitoring things carefully and currently following guidance from Central Government. The health and safety of all the people who access our services, the Goldhay Centre and/ or our Caravans, our volunteers, staff and trustees is something we take very seriously and we will be doing all we can to mitigate potential risk related to the virus. We may at some point have to take measures that could disrupt services and access to The Goldhay Centre and/ or Caravans.

We are reviewing constantly any work we have planned from training, events and trips through to whether we keep the Goldhay Centre open or make the caravans available to members of the public, which is all currently still planned to take place. We will be updating everyone regularly via social media, email and phone as required, so please keep an eye on all our communication channels.
