Family Voice Peterborough are happy to be supporting the Chinese Community of Peterborough who are hosting a face to face Tai Chi practice on Thursday mornings.
Tai chi, also called tai chi chuan, combines deep breathing and relaxation with flowing movements. Tai chi is practised around the world as a health-promoting exercise.
Tai Chi can help people to reduce stress, improve posture and blood circulation, boost the immune system and enhance mental ability to fight stress, improve posture, balance and general mobility, and increase muscle strength in the legs. This gentle exercise is particularly effective for those who are recovering from long Covid.
Tai chi is suitable for all ages. It does not require equipment. You can exercise anywhere any time.
