Letter of Concern Follow Up

In July we took the decision as a charity and the Parents Forum for Peterborough to raise concerns with central government over the state of SEND services locally. We are seeing the impact of lack of funds and poor resourcing  through austerity measures on SEND services and families who have children and young people with SEND. Community Project

Building Better Communities Together Family Voice Peterborough are pleased to announce that funding has been awarded of just over £19,000 to deliver the “Building Stronger Communities” project to create a hub for Orton residents and SEND families across Peterborough to take part in activities, and receive advice, signposting and information on topics relevant to them. The funding will enable staffing to run and promote the project; the continued delivery of various activities from the Goldhay Centre and the development of some new initiatives for families.  For a link to a short clip showin

Peterborough's SEND OFSTED/ CQC Area Wide Inspection - Letter

The letter for Peterborough’s Area Wide SEND Inspection has been published. Please follow the link https://reports.ofsted.gov.uk/provider/44/80537 and read the findings. Here at Family Voice Peterborough we are not surprised by the findings as it has highlighted the issues that we have been raising across education, health and social care since the SEND reforms came into being in 2014.

They specialise in the multi-disciplinary care of adults and work with residents, families, charities and the NHS to provide the highest quality care.Family Voice are a local charitable incorporated organisation, they support and empower the parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities.

FVP Letter of Concern

Family Voice Peterborough have taken the decision to write to Ministers of State for Education and Health to raise concerns over reduced funding for Peterborough and the impact this is having on SEND services across Health and Education. "....Peterborough has received a year by year decrease in the revenue support funding that it receives from central government, despite the fact that we have an ever increasing population with complex and multifarious needs.
