Here at Family Voice Peterborough we are not surprised by the findings as it has highlighted the issues that we have been raising across education, health and social care since the SEND reforms came into being in 2014.

They specialise in the multi-disciplinary care of adults and work with residents, families, charities and the NHS to provide the highest quality care.Family Voice are a local charitable incorporated organisation, they support and empower the parents and carers of children and young people with disabilities.

FVP Letter of Concern

Family Voice Peterborough have taken the decision to write to Ministers of State for Education and Health to raise concerns over reduced funding for Peterborough and the impact this is having on SEND services across Health and Education. "....Peterborough has received a year by year decrease in the revenue support funding that it receives from central government, despite the fact that we have an ever increasing population with complex and multifarious needs.

This guide is one of the numerous ways in which we take the things that you are telling us ie: a gap in information provision relating to PFA, and work to solve your issues and ensure Peterborough parent carers voices are heard and acted upon. 

SEND National Crisis March

Whilst as a forum we do not lobby or campaign, we do listen to and share the concerns of parent carers who are still struggling to make their way through the SEND system. We have hear many times from parents and professionals that the system is poorly funded and capacity and resources are being outstripped by an ever increasing demand.We are sharing with people interested details of a national campaign being driven by parents to raise awareness of the need for better funding for SEND nationally.
