Sharing below on behalf of caring together

Good morning,

Please see below for a few opportunities for carers which might be of interest:

Energy webinar

Through our carer helpline we know that the cost of energy is something of real concern for many carers across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Peterborough. Caring Together have therefore linked up with National Energy Action (NEA) who are the national fuel poverty charity in England. NEA have offered to run a webinar specifically for carers aged 18+ (whether they care for an adult or a child) on Thursday 6th October from 10-11:30am on Zoom. There is more information in the attached flyer. People can book via https://carersandenergy.eventbrite.co.uk/ – As part of NEA’s funding, they are required to share with their funders the area attendees are from, and so people will need to provide their address when they sign up. This will be securely stored by NEA just for the purpose of their reporting and will not be used to contact anyone.

Respite opportunities for adult siblings

SIBS are delighted to announce a new project to provide a series of respite opportunities for adult siblings who are carers for their brother or sister who is autistic. This research project will be evaluated so that they can assess what respite opportunities work best for this group of siblings. There will be a wellbeing retreat, a self-care project and a discovery course on offer. For more information, visit https://www.sibs.org.uk/support-for-adult-siblings/adult-sibling-respite-project/
