At FVP we recognise that PfA is a concern for our parent carers and we would like to work together to alleviate some of the pressures they are experiencing. We would like to invite you to our task and finish Group on Monday 28th November 11am at Goldhay Community Centre (however if you are unable to attend in person we can also offer a Teams meeting at the same time). Please note that booking is essential in order for us to manage number at our venue. This is looking at a wider PfA offer across health, education, communities and independent living.

As part of the new scheme by Peterborough City Council, we are pleased to announce we shall be running new Community Hubs for support, advice, and companionship during the winter months.

On both Monday and Wednesday evenings we will be opening The Goldhay Centre between 4pm and 7pm, and also on Saturdays between 11am and 1pm, for people to drop by, have some refreshments, and help themselves to our community fridge for food to take home. There’ll be a chance to chat with staff and volunteers, or get some advice or support, as well as games or colouring in for both adults and children. We will be providing drinks and snacks if you want some, all free of charge, as part of offering a space that is warm and welcoming.

We also invite you to attend our other free events, such as Tai Chi on Monday afternoons, Craft Club on Tuesday lunchtimes, Cafe and Food Hub on Wednesday mornings, and MIND fortnightly on Thursday afternoons.  Check out the events calendar for more details, or email us on office@familyvoice.org

We have launched a new campaign to hear from as many of our local people, communities and partners as possible. ‘Let’s Talk: Your health & care’ is for everyone living, working or studying in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough who wants to have a positive impact on the future of health and care services across our area. By hearing from local people, we can better understand local issues and needs, and work together to tackle them.

Whether you have a wide personal experience of health and care services, occasionally pick up a prescription, visit a local community service for advice, or haven’t had the need to use health or care services recently, we want to hear from you.

We are writing a strategy that will shape the services and support we offer over the next five years. To make sure our plans meet your needs, we have drafted a few questions, on a range of topics that we would like you views on. It’s not a long questionnaire, and most people can complete it in around five minutes. The questionnaire can be accessed online, and printed copies are available on request from cpicb.comms@nhs.net

We want to reach as many people as possible, especially people in communities we don’t regularly speak to or hear from. So please, share widely among your networks, colleagues, friends and family. Please also remember to complete the questionnaire yourself too!

The insights and feedback we get will help shape our Health & Wellbeing Integrated Care Strategy and influence the future of health and care over the next five years and help us build longer term relationships with our local people and communities.

Every question, comment or suggestion is welcome.

The survey will close on Thursday 10 November. So that you can see where your views have had an impact, we will share a detailed overview of the insights we have gathered. Our strategy will also be clear about the influence your views have had.

NHS CAMBRIDGESHIRE AND PETERBOROUGH ICB

As you may have heard Marion Deeley retired from the SENDIAS service (formally the SEND Partnership) at the end of August.   We now have a new manager, Angela Buxton.  Angie is in post from this week.  Marion’s phone number has transferred to Angie so there is no change, it is still 07920 160067.  We also have a new member of the team Catherine Wisbeach, she transferred over from Cambridgeshire and works with Jackie Pluckrose.  Due to the changes,  there has been an inevitable impact on the service re availability, please bear with us we are a small service, and we will do our very best to return calls and emails as soon as we can.  Now we are at full capacity we are confident we can get back on track.

Thank you for your continued patience and support.

The SENDIASS team.
